Durham Cathedral Cloisters

Hand drawn pen & ink artwork by Ben Holland.

The iconic Durham Cathedral cloisters were built in the late 12th century by Bishop Hugh Le Puiset. The cloisters were remodelled to their present form in the early fifteenth century, and the tracery later remodelled again in between 1764 and 1769.
